DSS Corporation to present at Tennessee NENA

Southfield, MI – DSS Corporation, (www.dispatchimprovement.com) announced today that it will be speaking at the TENA (Tennessee NENA) conference. The subject is NEXT GENERATION 9-1-1 INTEROPERABILITY IN THE PSAP.This will be held on September 30, 2009
The session details the NG 9-1-1 PSAP Functional Elements (CAD, CPE, RMS, MIS, Logging Services, etc.), and how the standards under development enable them to interoperate to provide the required NG functionality. A brief overview of NG is given, but the bulk of the presentation focuses on PSAP “Application Services”, how they talk to each other, and how the NG architecture supports “people anywhere” and “services anywhere” on the Emergency Services Internetwork (ESInet). Roughly 25% of the allotted time will be reserved for Q&A. The session will be give by DSS Corporation’s chief technologies Michael Smith.

Michael Smith has served in a technology management capacity for four of the major recording companies over the past 25 years. Mr. Smith joined DSS in 2004, and in his capacity as Chief Technologist, is responsible for providing technical guidance for equature. As a member of the joint APCO/NENA NG 9-1-1 PSAP Working Group, he is deeply involved in producing NG requirements and standards, and is frequently asked to speak on the subject.
