equature® Chat/SMS Capture Module

What is it?
equature® chat/sms capture module provides a method to archive all of the chat coming into your center. Capturing chat is passive and supports MSN, AOL and ICQ clients. For encrypted web chat, the equature® agent provides that functionality. For Next Generation 9-1-1, chat/sms is delivered via the SIP protocol which equature® supports as well.
Why is this important?
equature® chat/sms capture provides another piece to the communication puzzle. It is imperative for agencies to have a full picture of what is happening and the chat/sms capture module helps to fill that gap.
How does it work?
equature® chat/sms capture works three ways:
- Passive capture happens at the network level and chat communications are captured and archived into equature®
- Secure web chat is captured with equature® agent at the client computers. Since this communication is typically encrypted then we record it at the computers and archive it.
- For chat/sms that is delivered via Voice over IP, we record it with the Equature® SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) method. This is prevalent for NG9-1-1 applications.
equature® is engineered from the bottom up to capture all communications regardless of how it is delivered. This framework is exclusive to equature®
